    Walking by the Spirit

Christians can be generally divided into two categories: moral Christians and hungry Christians.

The law tells us outwardly what is right and wrong, obedient and good, and many moral people prefer this. But Christ tells us inwardly to eat Him as the living bread (John 6:51), and to drink Him as the living water (John 7:37–38), and many hungry and thirsty people prefer this.

We are not outwardly performing Christians, but we are Christians who are being transformed by eating, drinking Christ, walking by the Spirit (Gal. 5:16), and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7).

Lord, make us poor in spirit: hungry and thirsty for You!
